Amy Johnston - Lead Instructor and Online Instructor
Amy brings extensive pitching experience as a former collegiate athlete with a full scholarship at Chattanooga State University and Valdosta State University. She held the national record for the lowest ERA and ranked second in strikeouts nationwide. Amy expects dedication and commitment from her pitchers and requires work outside of lessons to ensure growth and skill development. She believes in setting high standards, pushing athletes to reach the next level, and fostering a shared goal of continuous improvement.
Throughout her coaching career, Amy has guided pitchers who have achieved remarkable success, including two college players who won the Women’s College World Series (D1 and D2), a professional pitcher, and numerous All-American athletes. To maintain this standard of excellence, Amy consistently raises the bar for each generation of students she coaches.
Lesson Rates: $60 per lesson or $220 for a package of 4 lessons.
Availability: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
Senior Instructor - Emily Dale
Emily has over a dozen years of pitching experience, including time at Emmanuel College, where an ankle injury unfortunately cut her playing career short. She now serves as a coach at Gilmer County High School and teaches professionally. Emily is a fierce competitor and brings deep knowledge of both pitching mechanics and the mental aspects of the game. She can teach any pitch (fast, change, knuckle, screw, rise, curve, drop, drop curve) and teach any age. She is patient and brings a wealth of knowledge to her athletes.
Private Lessons: $60 for a half-hour session or groups of three for an hour.
Availability: Friday and Sunday
Senior Instructor- Anslie Pettit
Anslie brings a wealth of expertise in pitching speed, making her an invaluable resource for athletes looking to increase their velocity. Known for her intense work ethic, she motivates and uplifts those around her, inspiring pitchers to push their limits. Anslie’s approach is intense yet adaptable, allowing her to connect effectively with players of any age or skill level. As a former pitcher at Georgia Southern, she ranked second nationally in multiple pitching categories, underscoring her experience and dedication.
Private Lessons: $60 for a half-hour session or groups of three for an hour
Availability: Thursdays and Saturdays
Junior Instructors
Our Junior Instructors are high school pitchers with over eight years of experience in pitching and lessons. They teach the same mechanics and foundational skills that Amy emphasizes, making them an excellent choice for younger athletes just beginning to explore pitching without committing to the rigorous practice schedule required by our lead instructor.
Each of our instructors is committed to providing high-quality instruction tailored to the skill level and goals of each pitcher. Whether you’re looking for intensive training or an introduction to the fundamentals, we have the right coach to support your journey in softball.
